My Year 2020

2020 was one hell of a year and when i say "hell" i mean it... We faced a pandemic, we had lockdowns and ofc the great crypto pump took place.

I have quite some stories to share and given the nature of my posts, get ready to read, (or not) a long long post! For the sake of it, i am gonna divide it into chapters so grab your popcorn and let's begin.

Chapter 1: The Begining of the Pandemic

I remember watching on the news about the Covid19 crisis and what was happening in China and to tell you the truth i had mixed feelings. On the one hand, i thought they were too harsh on their people.

Their lockdown was massive, police were everywhere and our media showed China as the dictator who only wanna be cruel to its citizens. On the other hand, i was thinking about whether the pandemic will reach us or not.

Truth to be told i didn't expect covid to reach us, but it did. Around February 2020, Covid19 reached Greece. We had just a few cases, around 2-3 each day so nobody was paying attention to Covid till the first Lockdown came...

Chapter 2: Lockdown N1

It was 23 of March when the first Lockdown took place and honestly everyone was afraid. As usual, the supermarkets were crowded as well as the stores that sell towels, toilet paper and such. Talk about irony right?

Now you need to know something about Greece. We are tied with our family and relatives a lot and by that i mean we are living together or very close.

For example, i live in a flat, one apartment is for me and my family, another for my grandparents, and the list goes on. Thus, i had to be extra careful with the Covid situation as i was helping my grandparents with some groceries and stuff.

Also, it was a bit hard to coordinate with everyone in the house, we had jobs, lessons to attend and only 2 laptops so we had to change our schedule in a way that everyone can have a laptop when he/she needs it. Quite hard i dare to say

The first lockdown was about 1 month long and trust me when i am saying this, during the last 2 weeks nobody cared about the cases nor the rules. They were outside, to friends and to many parties. The Lockdown ended on 4 of May.

Chapter 3: Vacations

Everything was open again and people were crazier than ever. We couldn't travel abroad but that never stopped us from traveling domestically.

Everyone went somewhere for vacation including me. I went to 2-3 different places and cities in Greece and honestly, mostly none has followed the rules. I am talking about businesses. In cafeterias, nobody was wearing masks or wore them wrong.

Some clubs were crowded even though it was supposed to be a certain number of people that could enter. This led to a huge increase in cases...

Chapter 4: Lockdown N2

On the 7th of November, the second Lockdown took place and we are still on lockdown and we will be till the 7 of January. Once again the first 1-2 weeks everything went smoothly but later on, as usual, mostly nobody abides by the rules.

Chapter 5: Crypto Me

Throughout the year i had completely lost faith in cryptos. The prices were low and with Covid19 knocking, on our doors, I had more important things to do and take care of.

I may have written some posts here and there but nothing important. Around one month ago, while on quarantine i decided to devote my time once again in cryptos.

Given my time i tried to create posts, make some comments, and try to be as active as i could. It was quite refreshing trying to build my Profile all over again and attract new users to read my content.

Chapter 6: Consequences of 2020 On Me

Hmm, where to begin, already made the post lengthy so I'll try to make it quick. Except for the fact that Covid made my life difficult regarding the work schedule on a home that i had to coordinate with everyone else in there i also gain some weight during the second Lockdown.

Aside from all the above, i feel like my life went a year back. We have a mandatory army here in Greece and i would have joined since the start of 2020 but due to Covid i was afraid a bit and postponed it for 2021.

Don't let me get started about how hard it is to find a job. I was searching and searching and guys it's really hard. It's a bit easy to find work in storehouses or as delivery but quite hard for anything else.

Chapter 7: Positives of 2020 On me

I have 3 positives to share. The first one was that during the first lockdown i lost weight, but i gained now so i guess it doesn't count. The second one was that i understood myself better and what it is that i want and need.

Finally, i dived once again into the crypto world and i can't feel more excited. I discovered new things, learned more and i feel more confident now regarding cryptos than i ever felt.

Chapter 8: Conclusion

All in all 2020 was a tough year for mostly anyone. Comparing to others that lost their jobs, businesses or people i was ok so i can't act like the end of the world came for me. Hopefully, 2021 will be better for everyone!
