The Look - Portrait Photography and Art Contest - WEEK #103
Sitting in the living room, I noticed my blinds casting shadows across the room, so I decided to make a render to simulate that look.
This render is an entry to the Portrait Photography and Art Contest - WEEK #103
Thank you to @axeman and World of Xpilar for hosting this contest.
Started with a Genesis 8 Female Template.
Added an living room environment.
Added a dresser.
After morphing the body, changing her position, and facial expressions, plus adding a dress and hair, I embedded the model in the scene.
Then I added texture to materials, skin and hair.
First render but it was a little bit too light…but decided to post it for your enjoyment.
2nd render, made it darker (Main post render).
I also made a "canvas" version in Photoshop…just to see what it would look like.
Tools and assets used:
Daz3D Studio, Iray and Photoshop
Genesis 8 Female Template
2021-07 Hair
Cardi Dress Clothes
Daz3D Lighting
Timeless Loft Environment
In Summary:
- I start out with a model template and morph the body physically.
- I put the body into a position, change facial expressions, add makeup, dress the model, add skin texture, props, etc…
- I either can embed the character into the background or wrap the environment around the character, then add lighting and camera settings, like depth of field.
- Rendering times can take 10 minutes to 2 hours per render.
- Postwork in Photoshop (adding imperfections in the skin, changing atmosphere and lighting, etc…)
Stay frosty people.
