Snowy Serenity - Portrait Photography and Art Contest - WEEK #148
A model posing in front of a powerful sun, after a crisp winter snow, and a late morning thaw. Lens flare adds a sort of “pure” quality to an image…so I added it in.
Thumbnail Version
Started with a Genesis 9 Female...
Added the completed model, after I morphed the body, changed her position, facial expression, and added clothes.
Added hair.
Added texture and color.
Added a road and mountain environment
Added more trees, snow and another mountain
Final render.
Post Photoshop, added lens flare and some morning steam in the background.

Tools and assets used:
Daz3D Studio, Iray and Photoshop
Genesis 9 Female Template
BS French Braid Hair
Tiered Dress
Daz3D, HDMI and Photoshop Lighting
MTWT Mountain Road Environment
In Summary:
- I start out with a model template and morph the body physically.
- I put the body into a position, change facial expressions, add makeup, dress the model, add skin texture, props, etc…
- I either can embed the character into the background or wrap the environment around the character, then add lighting and camera settings, like depth of field.
- Rendering time was about 1 1/2 hours.
- Postwork in Photoshop (adding imperfections in the skin, changing atmosphere and lighting, etc…)
Stay frosty people.
Wow. Incredible work.
Thanks buddy.
Oh, the association with a frame from a movie. As we say, "cinematic picture", which means high-quality
Thanks my friend. After I did the first render (2nd from the last), I thought to myself "this is dull." So I decided to add the lens flare and more immersion in the background with atmospheric fog in Photoshop.
Yes! The fog and glare in the background make the picture WOW!
