Sleeping - Portrait Photography and Art Contest - WEEK #149
Sleeping or sitting poses on impressionable objects (like beds, couches, and armchairs) are difficult for me in Daz. It's getting the model “sunk in” to the bed and blankets that I find most difficult. And the immersion shadows that help create interaction. In the future, I need to get better at this.
Started with a Genesis 9 Female...
Added the semi-completed model, after I morphed the body, changed her position, facial expression, and added clothes.
Added texture and color…plus hardwood floors.
Added a bed and blankets.
Added hair and a necklace.
Added a laptop and bracelets.
Added freckles to her face and body…and nail polish.
First render.
Increase the lighting exposure in Photoshop.
Tools and assets used:
Daz3D Studio, Iray and Photoshop
Genesis 9 Female Template
BS French Braid Hair
SF Clothes and Hoops Necklace
EA Double Armband bracelets.
Daz3d and HDRI Lighting
ALX Bedroom Environment
Background
In Summary:
- I start out with a model template and morph the body physically.
- I put the body into a position, change facial expressions, add makeup, dress the model, add skin texture, props, etc…
- I either can embed the character into the background or wrap the environment around the character, then add lighting and camera settings, like depth of field.
- Rendering time was about 3 hours.
- Postwork in Photoshop (adding imperfections in the skin, changing atmosphere and lighting, etc…)
Stay frosty people.
