RE: Talk Channel: "Comment or ask a question"/ Comente o pregunte (week 268) in the WOX

During my time on Steemit, I have seen at least 3 people resign from the SR position, for various reasons related to economics, freedom and work demands. Which are very acceptable reasons, and after that it is only a matter of time to do Power Down. I hope @adeljose does not get to this stage.
But what I also want to highlight is that there doesn't seem to be a significant problem when the former SRs are no longer in their positions, there is no gap to fill, no one really feels a loss. So maybe no one really had a big impact?

Back to SC, the initial requirement was to be from a different continent/country. I don't know if the Steemit Team has predicted that each SC member will pay more attention and support users from their own country, or maybe there is a term I heard called Cross-Curation. Does that seem reasonable when it's based on nationalism, supporting each other, encouraging each other?
For me it would also be important to know how to avoid stressors before working in a team, maybe not involving too many members is the most effective solution right now?
I gather that the most important thing is to have a common vision. No problem with different tastes in drinks right? @aneukpineung78

Personally, I can say that there was a period in which I decided not to apply for SR because I knew that I had to do a Power Down to buy my current house, I was aware of the work it takes to select Srs, and therefore, I did not want to apply to avoid resigning if selected. For the next period I did apply, and I had the opportunity to be elected.

The SRs have the task of supporting any user who requires it, regardless of nationality, therefore, it is necessary that they educate themselves to obtain more knowledge about what is related to Steemit, with the intention of effectively serving in this role.

I have nothing to say about SRs at this point. You might be right, at least partially. 😅 One question: If I am to run for SR, what would you say? Would you support me? If you would, why?☺️ If you wouldn't, WHY? 😡

SC? Well, then again you might be right, partially, but, trust me, I don't really consider the nationality and I believe so too about my SC partner wakeupkitty. She voted for a high percentage of all Indonesian Steemians the Team True Colours has cast the votes so far (or at least forward me the link to discuss and for me to vote). Do I look for Indonesians to vote? Of course. But, will I vote anything? No.

We often discuss before voting on an article. And almost always the problem with Indonesian Steemians is about the use of hashtags which can sometimes lead to tag-abuse, and if the article is decent enough, we will vote and then comment on things that need to be improved (i.e. the use of hashtags). So they get two benefits at once (if they are willing to learn and want improvement). Mistakes can always be corrected, but thickheadedness can't. Hahaha.

... the most important thing is to have a common vision. ...

This time I think you are completely (not partially) right. 😆

... No problem with different tastes in drinks right? ...

Absolutely right. Some demand cappuccino, some espresso. And me, Black Americano.

I think whether I support you or not will not affect anything, I am a nobody. Moreover, as is the tradition in our beloved country, there is no free support 😁

However, if you look at your track record and behavior to date, it seems that you deserve the title of SR. You are happy to build interaction with Steemians through comments, which most SRs are not doing nowadays. So I will press the YES button for you, unless there is another candidate who is willing to offer a more favorable deal for me 😉

You want a more favourable deal? That smells like.. Where exactly do you live?

Hahaha. "where exactly do you live?" HAHAHAH ....

I can't say I feel Dutch and I am not European either, I don't like it if all countries in Europe are called the same, that's an American way of thinking, cultures, history differ so I guess I am nothing, a nobody in no one's land, somewhere world wide, Monkey Land, Land's End or Heaven who knows (no, not Mars)

Since you serve drinks: I like to remind you I drink tea and I am still waiting for it. How long ago is it you invited me and our friend from the picnic walk among the river? Plus the tea is instead of those 15 upvotes you received as botto steem ran wild.

Back to nationality: I never think in those terms I only notice some are always upvoted and others forgotten because of country, culture or whatever people can find for a reason no matter if they are part of this platform and help it grow. A bitter pill to take

Should I hit a button for the YES?

Maybe you'd like to be recognised only as a Steemian? :D

Why do SRs leave?
Several reason but the first question we can ask is (I don't have the answer in all cases): How long were those SRs in charge? 3 months, 3 years?
How hard was the pressure? Some do nothing others works 20 hours per day. Is that okay or can the workload change? Setting hours just like a doctor in the Netherlands (part time and never present).
Are these SRs missed? Not if there are 6 in one country because there are still left (is it necessary there are that many?).

We all will come to a stage that we leave, have better things to do, get ill or have the offline life asking for more attention. You will not find many who can generate a long term guaranteed income. I know I can't and never will unless I can move to a country where everything is for free.

No I don't believe the Steemit Team said an SC should give more attention to their own country fellows. If that would be the case I can upvote 8 Dutch people, I will adopt Belgium and South Africa and will ignore the rest.
All I heard (months ago) that it's not "allowed" to upvote in the communties you are a moderator at more than twice. I have no idea if this is true or more like made up or said to avoid that all votes go to the same community?
On the other hand SC teams give their guidelines and I can't recall it's ever said whatever they said is not allowed. The only SC I know literally said he will mainly focus/vote for his country was from Ukraine (also no one said: but hey you should look everywhere for that hidden gem). Well, we do but also focus on Europe since it's a fact most SC teams don't. If there's no SC from a European country (I don't count Ukraine because they rare vote for other European countries) this means most countries/communities we vote for will not receive a single vote (a bit has changed since I see that some SC follow me and vote for those on my list but I doubt they will if I am not a SC doubt as in I don't believe it).
