UEFA EURO 2024 GERMANY
The biggest football competition on the blue continent EURO 2024 Germany has started. In the match which took place from Saturday (15/6/2024) evening to Sunday (16/6/2024) early morning Western Indonesian time, a number of top teams won in the first group stage match. Hosts Germany started the 2024 European Cup match by beating Scotland with a landslide score of 5-1.
In the match which took place at the Allianz Arena, the opening match of the 2024 European Cup, hosts Germany immediately stepped on the gas in front of their own supporters, making Scotland unable to put up any resistance. Five German goals were scored by Florian Wirtz in the 10th minute, Jamal Musiala in the 19th minute, then goals by Kai Havertz (45+1'), Niclas Fullkrug (68'), and closed by Emre Can's goal in injury time. Meanwhile Scotland only scored one goal through Antonio Rudiger in the 87th minute.
Meanwhile, in the continuation of Group A matches, Switzerland beat Hungary with a score of 3-1. Murat Yakin's squad successfully achieved victory in the match which took place at the Cologne Stadium, on Saturday (15/6). Switzerland's three goals were each scored by Kwadwo Dah in the 12th minute. Michel Aebischer increased Switzerland's lead in the 45th minute. Hungary narrowed the score to 2-1 through Barnabas Varga in the 66th minute, but substitute Breel Embolo's goal in the 90+3 minute ensured that Switzerland won with a score of 3-1.
From Group B, Spain beat Croatia with a score of 3-0 in a match at the Berlin Olympic stadium. The Matador team's three winning goals were scored by Alvaro Morata, Fabian Ruiz and Dani Carvajal respectively. Meanwhile, in another match in Group B, defending European Cup champions Italy beat Albania with a score of 2-1. Albania took the lead through Nedim Bajrami quick goal in the first minute. In the 11th minute, Italy responded with a goal from Alessandro Bastoni which made the score equal at 1-1. Nicolo Barella gave Italy a 2-1 lead in the 16th minute.
