Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.1)
It's been a while since I shared my works here and I owe that mostly to various engagements and contests. That being said, I was fortunate enough to have spotted this on one of my voting rounds. Having thought long and hard as to what I'd draw, a sense of depth kept recurring. So upon seeing this battle ready soldier, I knew it was perfect.
The reality of depths and highlights have always fascinated me and the realization that a little if it here and there makes up a perfect representation of not just an idea but a person is mind-blowing.
So here you have it, my ready soldier.

Greetings friend, very good drawing! I really liked the pose of the soldier preparing for battle. The use of pencil was also great to give different tones and finishes to each part of him. Many successes!!
