Halle Berry; A Pencil Portrait #club5050

This sketch I share with you now is the third portrait of Halle Berry I'll be making in the past year. The first is directly below and I never really shared it till earlier this August while making a collection of works I never posted on the platform. Back then I was in the Diving contest hosted by Bambuka.

This first portrait was made last August and back then I was still learning not only how to blend but also how to properly shade and use the camera amongst other things. The sketch initially turned out great but I ignorantly erased excess tones and in the process made the paper repulsive to the pressure of my pencils and so I left it....

I did stumble upon it last week or so while I was searching out old sketches i've made and deleting the reference photo from my device. When I spotted it, I thought real hard and decided to give it a shot knowing fully well that I had learnt to properly represent tones and make entire sketches without erasing.

I did make the sketch using my usual 10B Bianyo and the turnout was quite impressive but I just had to improvise on the hair having realized that I couldn't fully represent it .....do feel free to leave your comments below, I'd be more than happy to respond...
