A Portrait of the English Singer, Song Writer and War Veteran; "James Blunt"
My Uncle bought a Back to Bedlam Disc in the early 2000s, this happened to be James Blunt's first studio album. For years I couldn't stop playing these songs and at some point everyone in my house hated his music because of the number of times I played those tracks.
My favourite however was "Tears and Rain" seconding that was "Wisemen" and "High" respectively.
I didn't relate well with Goodbye my Lover and You're Beautiful even though I loved them a lot. I somehow think that they're popular appreciation by people who ain't even fans led me to that conclusion.
I've listened to Blunt through the years from the "All the Lost Souls" to "Some Kind of Trouble" and to my favourite album of his released in 2013; "Moonlanding" where he totally redefined himself. My favourite in this album was "Postcards".
His "Afterlove" album was something I didn't totally get a grip of cause of my busy schedule back then.
Very recently he released the "Once Upon a Mind" album in which my favourite is "I Told You".
As a fan of Blunt, I'd rather not go into much details cause my words would overshadow the sketch and we wouldn't want that would we?😁
I made this sketch as an impression of his face in his second studio album where he released my all-time favourite "1973".
I made the entire sketch with my 8B Stædtler, do help yourselves to it.
Here's the drawing process....
I'm really glad you stopped by today, it's always a pleasure hosting you, do feel free to not only comment but stop by tomorrow.
I've got something special I'd like to share.
