'A Cute Boy and Dashes'

I spent a lot of time thinking and later concluded that I'll be doing a kinda series sketch, one of the aged and the other of cute babies. While I was making today's sketch however I tried an improvisory technique to avoid blending. I used dashes, horizontal dashes instead of strokes, hatchlings and the likes. I for one love the way the sketch turned out.

It took me a while though to figure out what I'll do with the hair in this particular sketch since the strokes were horizontal so I'd really appreciate it if you have any suggestions. I'm making also a Will Smith portrait with this technique and I hope to share that with you as soon as possible. This sketch was made with 2 and 6B Bianyo pencils..
