I cannot imagine being lost in a neighboring community; talk more of being lost in space. The madness that comes with it is not hopeful. So, this story on lost in space is inspired by the digital image above, the image was developed by @xpilar. I hope you enjoy the story…

Greg saw a movie when he was a kid titled Apollo 13, the story of the record breaking travel expedition to space. Since then, he was obsessed with being an astronaut and travelling to space. He kept his hopes up, but his dad wanted something else for him. His dad had hoped he would take over the family business when he comes of age, so the family name can continue.

As Greg grew older, his convictions grew stronger despite his father’s wishes. He studied hard, made his education his priority. He gathered much information about being an astronaut, and traveling to space. The information he gathered exposed him to what it entails to be an astronaut.

On one faithful day, Greg was one of five men traveling to mars. They had a mission to scout the planet, they were to evaluate the planet if life form can survive and for how long. They had finished their evaluation, made assessment; and you can say it was a successful mission.

On their way back, they encountered a meteor shower and the particles was scattered all around space. Their spaceship collided with one of the particles, damaging their ship and leaving them for dead. The damage was so severe; they lost two of their colleagues in an instant. They could not send for help, their transmitter was cut off, and they were losing gas by the minute. The ship settled in a place of nothingness, in the middle of nowhere. The air was dangerous to them, and they were running out of oxygen. The situation was hopeless, they were “lost in space”, with nowhere to go and no help coming their way.

Greg woke up from his sleep, it was all a dream. The thought of the dream frightened Greg so much, he was stunned. He had now seen firsthand the hazard of travelling to space; he now realized he had a big choice to make concerning his future. It looked like a vision, warning him of things to come. Greg was lost in space.
