Drawing a self portrait of Artist, Mike Mc Carthy

Good day friends, today i made a drawing of an icon, an artist who is well known for his work of art, Mike Mc Carthy. He is a concept artist and illustrator. In the part of the world where i come from, artist are not celebrated. In fact, they are counted among the unserious ones. It is not regarded as a profession on it's own, but just a waste of time, or a job for lazy people. After answering that you are an artist, they will still be requesting for what you do. But in recent years, art has proven itself useful and worthwhile. It is now gaining relevance, we now have artist who are proud of what they do, because they are having making relevant contribution to the society.

I made the drawing with pencil all through, shaded a few parts and blended the rest.
