Smolin's Exhibition

Smolin's Exhibition is the next a village in the bush of villages. The territorial affiliation is the same as for all previous villages of the investigated bush (Parfenovo rural settlement, Veliky Ustyug district, Vologda region, Russia)

If you go down from a high hill, then this village will just stand. Part of the settlement is located a little further from the main one, where the largest number of houses is.

In some sources, the name Smolensk Exhibition is found, that is, with the letter e in the middle of the word, instead of i. But I am against such a name, as the meaning is lost.

People also live here. One of the houses is decorated with bottle caps drawings.

More often to meet such beauty!

Once upon a time this village, like all the previous ones, stood on the banks of the Luza River. Judging by the outlines of the swampy and practically dry riverbed lake, the river moved away several centuries ago.

The confluence of two rivers Luza and Yug is located very close. And also in the place of their confluence there is a geological outcrop and a natural monument of the Kontakt tract. But it is very difficult to get to this interesting place both in winter and in summer.

Even the word Exhibition in the name of the village suggests that this place is near to the river, that is, with a trade route.

But in the first part of the village, for some reason, there are no large five-walled houses...Maybe I'll be lucky and I'll meet them in the next part?
