Shilykovo

Shilykovo is a village in Velikoustyugsky district of Vologda region. It is part of the Oryol rural settlement. Located near the previous one – Pavshino.

In general, I became more and more interested in places in the floodplain of the Yug River.

If you look at the map from the satellite, then the contour of the old riverbed is very clearly drawn here.

And from this it turns out that Shilykovo used to stand on the opposite bank of the river.

Now there is a swampy river Karpovka in old riverbed.

There are very few houses left in Shilykovo.

Four houses and the ruins of a farmyard...

And on the other conditional former shore there is another village – Tarasovskaya.

In the distance you can see the village of Orlovo, after which the rural settlement was named.

Well, I'm going to the "other shore"!
