Malaya Gorka

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

Malaya Gorka (Little Hill) is located on a small hill, which is also the steep bank of the Lower Yorga River.

To get to the village, you need to go down through the village of Lodeyka to the river, cross the Korshma river at its confluence with the Yorga, then go up the steep hill.

But before the heavy physical labor for the legs, I decided to go to the shore of Lower Yorga.

At this time, it is still high water, but towards the end of summer it dries up so that you can wade.

There are only four houses in Malaya Gorka and all of them are residential.

By car, you can climb here only in dry weather.

But the residents are coping with it both physically and mentally.

From here open spaces for many kilometers ahead. Here you can see the village of Grigorievskoye, which was the very first in my journey through the bush of villages.

And in the distance you can see the houses of the villages of Ruposovo, Solovyevo and even Rovdino, on the opposite bank of the Sukhona. Here it is, the entire Lower Yorga Delta in full view!

Bathhouse in a moat on a hillside.

Previously, there were many villages upstream on Lower Yorga and, judging by their names (Svetly Mir, Lukorechye, Druzhnitsa, Zoriy Lug, Radenye, Smely), Old Believers lived there.

But now there is not even the slightest trace of them left, except for overgrown fields.

... And according to my plan, there are still villages in which there is something to see.

To be continued...
