Dilapidated Chagoda. Part three

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

The next day of my stay in the village of Chagoda, Vologda region, I had a free minute...well, that is, a couple of hours, and I decided to explore this gloomy quarter during the day.

On all posts, I will put an aesthetic photo on the cover, since all the others are completely unattractive, but very documentary.

In this quarter, the most gloomy are not houses, but abandoned barns.

Daylight hours allow you to climb into any corner where you don’t want to go as much as possible at night.

But at night, the atmosphere in reality and in the pictures is much stronger.

Therefore, I capture all the yards, dilapidated housing and sheds with dugouts at night.

At night, an interesting combination of unaesthetic objects with mystical lighting is obtained.

And in the daytime, most people have already seen such landscapes, and somehow it’s almost impossible to shoot them in a different way to make it interesting.

But we can safely move around such places, control the situation and boldly document everything that comes into view!

During the day, graphics can also be used as a creative technique.

Although at such a time, dry grass with an old tree look uncompromisingly graphic.

It seems to me that this place is already discussed among the locals in terms of dilapidation and appearance.

And soon, apparently, it may disappear.

From the remaining residential buildings, people will be relocated to new houses, and the quarter will be razed to the ground.

Maybe for some time this place will be a wasteland, or maybe the construction of something new will immediately begin.

And all this wooden chaos is a fire hazard.

One careless handling of fire and half a block can burn out.

The danger is aggravated by the fact that most of the territory is ownerless.

By the way, I have never seen such a huge number of abandoned barns.

To be continued...
