| Это моё путешествие состоялось в конце мая 2022 г. Мы с подругой отправились на поезде в сторону Волги. В городе Сызрань нас ждал автобус, на котором мы и поездили немного по этим живописным местам. | This journey of mine took place at the end of May 2022. My friend and I went by train towards the Volga. In the city of Syzran, a bus was waiting for us, on which we traveled a little through these picturesque places. |
| Я очень волновалась, перед самым отъездом я сильно ударила палец на ноге. Но кроссовки на 3 размера больше спасли меня в этом путешествии. Я смогла ходить, почти не хромая. | I was very worried, just before leaving, I hit my toe hard. But sneakers 3 sizes too big saved me on this trip. I was able to walk without limping. |
| В первый же день нас ждала прогулка по уникальному природному памятнику - Рачейскому лесу в Самарской области. Я уже рассказывала об этой прогулке. Покажу ещё одну фотографию. | On the first day, we had a walk through a unique natural monument - the Rachey forest in the Samara region. I have already talked about this walk. I'll show you one more photo. |
| Жили мы несколько дней в туристическом комплексе Хвалынь, где нас ждали вполне комфортные номера в гостинице. | We lived for several days in the Khvalyn tourist complex, where quite comfortable hotel rooms were waiting for us. |
| Погода во время поездки в целом была неплохая. Но случались и дожди. После одного из таких дождей на закате мы любовались ещё и двойной радугой, когда вышли из гостиницы прогуляться. | The weather during the trip was generally good. But there were also rains. After one of these rains at sunset, we admired the double rainbow when we left the hotel for a walk. |
| Туристический комплекс находится на высоком берегу Волги. Зимой здесь горнолыжный курорт. Но мы приехали, когда снег уже растаял. Для этого времени года в Хвалыни тоже было чем заняться. Здесь построили открытый термальный бассейн, в котором мы с удовольствием проводили время вечерами. | Tourist complex is located on the high bank of the Volga. In winter there is a ski resort hear. But we arrived when the snow had already melted. For this time of year, there was also something to do in Khvalyn. An outdoor thermal pool was built here, in which we enjoyed spending time in the evenings. |
| Ярким впечатлением для меня во время этого отдыха была и возможность понаблюдать в природе за живущими вокруг сурками. Они уже давно вышли из спячки и резвились вокруг местных гор. Но это дикие животные, поэтому близко к ним было не подойти. Сидящий на страже около норы сурок пронзительно свистел, когда к нему приближались люди, и прятался в нору. Предупрежденное семейство тоже быстро скрывалось. | A vivid impression for me during this vacation was the opportunity to observe the marmots living around in nature. They have long since come out of hibernation and frolic around the local mountains. But these are wild animals, so it was impossible to get close to them. The groundhog, sitting on guard near the hole, whistled piercingly when people approached it, and hid in the hole. The warned family also quickly disappeared. |

| После прогулки можно было отдохнуть и перекусить в местном баре. Пиво они варят сами. Это всегда интересно попробовать. | After the walk, you could relax and have a bite to eat at a local bar. They brew their own beer. It's always interesting to try. |
| Днём у нас были экскурсии по окрестностям. | During the day we had excursions around the area. |
| На второй день мы съездили в город Балаково. Посмотрели несколько интересных памятников архитектуры. Подошли к дому, в котором жил красный командир времен гражданской войны начала 20 века – Василий Иванович Чапаев. | On the second day we went to the city of Balakovo. We saw some interesting architectural monuments. We approached the house where the red commander of the Civil War of the early 20th century, Vasily Ivanovich Chapaev, lived. |
| Мы прошлись по великолепным залам особняка купца Мальцева, не уступающим в декоре царским дворцам. В перестройке и отделке особняка в в 1900-1910-е годы принимал участие Шехтель. | We walked through the magnificent halls of the mansion of the merchant Maltsev, which are not inferior in decor to the royal palaces. Shekhtel took part in the reconstruction and decoration of the mansion in the 1900-1910s. |
| Очень интересная необычной архитектура церковь Святой Троицы, так же созданная по проекту одного из любимых моих архитекторов Шехтеля. | Very interesting and unusual architecture is the Church of the Holy Trinity, also designed by one of my favorite architects, Shekhtel. |
| В этот же день мы прогулялись по берегу Волги. | On the same day we walked along the banks of the Volga. |
| Посетили мы город Маркс, который когда-то создали немецкие переселенцы. В краеведческом музее нам рассказали о славной и печальной истории поволжских немцев, показали сохранившиеся предметы быта переселенцев. | We visited the city Marx, which was once created by German settlers. In the museum of local lore, we were told about the glorious and sad history of the Volga Germans, they showed us the preserved household items of the settlers. |
| Большая часть потомков поволжских немцев после распада СССР переехали в Германию. | Most of the descendants of the Volga Germans after the collapse of the USSR moved to Germany. |
| Но есть энтузиасты, хранящие память о них в России, вкладывающие свои средства в восстановление. Так была восстановлена кирха Иисуса Христа посреди степного заволжского села Зоркино, которое его основатели – немецкие колонисты называли в свое время Цюрихом. Кирха сгорела в 1992 г., а в 2015г. её восстановили на средства частного фонда. | But there are enthusiasts who keep the memory of them in Russia, investing their money in restoration. So the church of Jesus Christ was restored in the middle of the steppe Zavolzhsky village of Zorkino, which its founders, the German colonists, once called Zurich. Kirkha burned down in 1992, and in 2015. it was restored with private funds. |

| Мы жили недалеко от небольшого волжского городка Хвалынск. Вот пришло время познакомиться с ним поближе. Должна сказать, что с удовольствием погуляла бы там подольше. В этом городе какая-то приятная душевная атмосфера. | We lived near the small town of Khvalynsk on the Volga. Now it's time to get to know him better. I must say that I would love to walk there longer. There is a kind of pleasant spiritual atmosphere in this city. |
| В Хвалынске жил известный русский художник Кузьма Петров-Водкин. Мы побывали в его музее. Недалеко от музея интересный памятник художнику, иллюстрирующий реальную историю: будучи студентов московского училища, Петров-Водкин отправился в путешествие в Европу на велосипеде. | The famous Russian artist Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin lived in Khvalynsk. We visited his museum. Not far from the museum, there is an interesting monument to the artist, illustrating a real story: being students of a Moscow school, Petrov-Vodkin went on a trip to Europe on a bicycle. |
| В день отъезда домой из Сызрани у нас было время погулять по этому волжскому городу. | On the day of departure home from Syzran, we had time to walk around this Volga city. A culinary master class on making the signature Syzran Pautinka cake was waiting for us there. An experienced confectioner showed all the stages of making a cake, creating a delicious dessert right in front of our eyes. |
| Ждал нас там и кулинарный мастер-класс по изготовлению фирменного сызранского торта Паутинка. Опытный кондитер показала все стадии изготовления торта, создав прямо на глазах вкуснейший десерт. |
| В Сызрани мы также погуляли по набережной Волги, посетили Казанский собор, прогулялись по главной улице города - Советской. | In Syzran, we also walked along the Volga embankment, visited the Kazan Cathedral, walked along the main street of the city - Sovetskaya. |
| Из всех архитектурных достопримечательностей Сызрани мне больше всего понравился этот деревянный особняк Чернухина, построенный в стиле модерн. | Of all the architectural sights of Syzran, I liked this Art Nouveau wooden mansion of Chernukhin the most. |
| Вот такая короткая, но насыщенная поездка с разнообразными впечатлениями. | This is such a short but rich trip with a variety of impressions. |

Thank you for participating in the contest. You showed us great photos of nature and buildings. But I especially liked the fact that you did not spare the time to describe everything in detail. How did you manage to photograph that groundhog? :)

The groundhog was 50-70 meters away, they didn’t let us get closer even with our slow approach. :) The maximum zoom on my camera (not enough, unfortunately) and the maximum increase in the photo. But I am very satisfied with this. It was exciting.
