| Несколько дней мы гуляли по городу в теплых куртках, непромокаемых плащах, под зонтами. Но 8 июля дождь, наконец, закончился. Видно, что лужи уже подсыхают. | For several days we walked around the city in warm jackets, waterproof raincoats, and under umbrellas. But on July 8, the rain finally stopped. | Памятник Ивану Фёдоровичу Крузенштерну – русскому мореплавателю – установлен в 1873 году. Памятник стоит напротив здания Морского кадетского корпуса, где Крузенштерн учился, а позже и работал. Памятник создан по проекту скульптора И. Н. Шредера и архитектора И. А. Монигетти. Открывали его к 100-летию Крузенштерна. Был объявлен сбор средств, недостающее выделило Морское министерство. | The monument to Ivan Fedorovich Kruzenshtern, a Russian navigator, was erected in 1873. The monument stands opposite the building of the Naval Cadet Corps, where Krusenstern studied and later worked. The monument was created according to the design of the sculptor I. N. Schroeder and the architect I. A. Monighetti. It was opened for the 100th anniversary of Krusenstern. A fundraiser was announced, and the Naval Ministry provided the missing funds. |
