Temple of Apollo 🌞 #club100

Hi Steemians ✨

Greetings from the Temple of Apollo on the Mediterranean coast. I really like this temple and its location. It has a very deep historical background. The Temple of Apollo, built in the 2nd century BC, is in the province of Antalya in southern Turkey ⭐️

It is on the peninsula and when viewed from the temple, the surrounding always has a sea view. This is a Roman temple. Unfortunately, most of them have not survived. However, there are parts that are still standing 🌟

The name Apollo is one of the gods in ancient Greek and Roman mythology. Apollo is considered the god of music, dance, light, poetry, archery, healing and wisdom✨ Apollo's qualities are very fascinating. He is also known as the SUN god 🌞

In 1984, the 5 columns you see in the photo began to be restored and this restoration took 6 years. The temple is located on Side, Antalya. Side was the most important port city of this region in ancient times. You can see the beauty of the location of the temple in full from this photo.

Watching the sunset from the temple is an amazing experience. The redness in the sky and the view of the sun as if it were sinking into the water are magnificent 👌

There are human faces with different facial expressions in the upper part of the temple. There are also Lion figures. It has a magnificent design and craftsmanship. There are also many elaborate motifs. When I imagine the whole temple standing, I can better understand its splendor 💕

You can see the magical ambiance of the sunset in this photo. The temple of Apollo welcomes many tourists from all over the world. With its nearly 2000-year history, it continues to hug those who visit it and amaze them with its magnificence ❤️

There is a museum near the temple in Side. In this museum, you can see statues of Roman gods, jewelry of kings and queens, coins from that period and much more 🖤

I hope you all enjoyed reading my post ✨
Thank you 🤗

Restore or Replicate?

The British Museum is frequently criticized for not returning artifacts to the countries the originally were taken from. When I see those faces, on this structure, I wonder if it would be better to have replicas placed their instead. A few years ago, some artifacts in the Middle East were permanently destroyed through the actions of religious zealots. At least the artifacts from the same age, are safe in the British Museum.
It doesn't even require zealots. Tourists have destroyed artifacts too.

The British Museum have been storing the artifacts digitally. I suggested that they make these files available to patrons and museums around the world so they could be 3d printed of when the technology become available holograms.

You're right, attacks, tourists, weather conditions, and so many things actually affect historical artifacts. I didn't know about digital recording. Many sculptures and special artifacts in and around this temple are under protection in the museum. So it looks like this temple will stay that way as far as it can go.

Whenever you have the chance to pass on the message to museum curators to encourage them to do 3D imaging of their artifacts if they haven't done so already. I wish I could take credit for having the idea first.

How to start learning a foreign language? I have a great desire to learn Spanish, but I'm not sure which app to choose for this. Or maybe I need a tutor?

In general, your choice should depend on how you feel comfortable learning foreign languages. For example, I don't really like studying with a teacher. I prefer self-study through various online platforms. By the way, on linguatics you can see the best online platforms and online language courses, so I highly recommend this site to you.

very beautiful scenery

Thank you 😊
