Writing competition #135 / "City under the water" / No fishing

I took the boat away from the coast of Martinique. This time I went to a different area. My goal was to fish and for that I brought my strongest rod with me and I also brought a new lure to test its effectiveness.

I made my first cast and instantly a big and heavy fish bit. I realized it was a barracuda, but it ran away when it approached about two meters away.

Then I cast the lure again in another direction and, as luck would have it, I noticed that it got stuck on some object that was underwater. I approached with the boat and reached the place where the lure had been left and I could see near the surface a round metallic object in depth and at some distance I saw other similar objects.

So I made a few moves on the line, but the lure couldn't get unstuck. The lure had cost me 20 dollars and, as I saw that it was a few meters deep, I decided to go into the water to retrieve it.

But when I was about to launch, a green guy with big eyes appeared with the lure in one of his hands and said to me displeased:

• This is yours?

• Yes sir. That's mine.

• It was his -he answered while crushing the lure with his hands as if it were a cookie-. And I recommend that you don't bother here again, because next time you'll have to swim to the coast.

• I am a sport fisherman. What I do is catch fish and throw them back.

• Would you like to be grabbed by the mouth and lifted into the air?

• I'm sorry.

• Get away from here, please.

• A question: Which planet are you from?

• It's not your problem. Get out.
