Drawing and writing competition / Firestone tires and blue ribbons in the sky
My friend stopped dancing and came over to me with a gesture of joy: “Robert, welcome to my birthday!” At that moment the wife put a piece of cake in my hands. “Stay with us for a while,” she told me. “I was just coming to get the money,” I told my friend. "But make yourself comfortable -he told me-. I'm going to give you a taste of a new drink that my cousins invented back in the Canadian mountains. It is a liquor made with wild fruits”.
Bruno left for a couple of minutes and came back. In one hand he had a $100 bill and in the other a small glass of liquor. “Thanks for the help, Robert”, he said, handing me the money. “Taste this wine. It's tasty." I was encouraged to drink it I think for the joy of having received. And after a few minutes of contemplating that uproar of dances and shouts from the natives, I decided to leave.
But when I went out into the street I saw that in the air and on all sides there was a series of objects crossed that did not allow me to walk in a straight line. Some were like broken motorcycle tires; others were like the decorative ribbons that are put up at carnival parties. Big stars were visible in the sky and there was fog and smoke. I wanted to push one of those objects away with my arm, but it turned out that I didn't feel it. In one of those attempts I punched a fat man passing by in the stomach. “What's wrong with you, asshole?!” he yelled at me. Then in about 15 minutes all those objects disappeared and fortunately the world returned to normal.
