Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.1) - PEONIES
Hi everyone!
Thanks to @xpilar for the drawing contest.
I tried to draw peonies and this is the final result.
Materials
I used an HB pencil, a sheet of A4 paper, the eraser and a cotton swab.
Previous steps
First I drew the outline of two flowers and a bud.
Then I drew the outline of the leaves.
Then I started to create the shadows and outline the petals better in the bigger flower.
I do the same with the second flower.
At this stage I filled the leaves.
I added more pencil shades and with a cotton swab I blended the darkest parts of the flowers and leaves, added more shadows and continued blending.
In the final step I also shaded the leaves and added light veins.
