The World of XPILAR - LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #049 - Dune 45
This photo was taken in the Namibian dessert. This desert has some of the highest sand dunes in the world. The dune on the photo is Dune 45. It rises more than 150 meters above the landscape. It's a real giant when looking at it. The photo was taken at the foot just after being on the top to watch the sun rise.

Looks like red desert, but most likely due to evening time. Impressive to see hte tree in desert. Really nice photo :)
Thank you. The colours of the sand dunes were actually very red- orange like, but it became a deeper color in the early morning light or the afternoon. It's an amazing place.
