Do you choose yourself, or are you influenced by subliminal messages to make certain choices?
To be is to perceive and to be perceived! That means that what we see as humans, also implies many things that we do not see. As humans, we cannot concentrate our eyes on fields simultaneously, but we must focus our eyes from time to time! So, what implies this restricted perception?
As humans all over the world, we are using our eyes to perceive what is going on in environments. We can close our eyes, or we can open them. When they are closed, for instance during the nights, we are sleeping. But when the day is there, we can open them. What we see when seeing is also extremely exciting in research.
Our eyes are perhaps the most important fact in the body to perceive what is going on. Perception is imaginations, emotions and thoughts about different things. We are complex individuals when coming to the earth, and when learning different things we are more complex the older we are. What we see when seeing is dependent on our concentration efforts, and how we focus.
When being out of bed, we can open our eyes as much as possible. Or we can open them just a little to see what is going on. When closing our eyes, we either want not to see or to go to sleep. Perception is to see what you see and all others can see in the same situation. We use our eyes to understand and to detect different patterns of behavior in our environments.
Humans are coming from nature, and they operate in such manners where possible. We can use our eyes systematically to understand and to develop understanding. Or we can use our eyes accidentally, and we are then not focusing correctly, and we are not including in many environments in society.
So, this was perception and using our senses as good as we can. There are five senses in human nature, and they are what we hear, what we see, what we smell, what we taste, and what we feel.
Subliminal perception is perception that we cannot notice exactly as being the human you are in the human nature. Think about ads you have seen in quickly ways for beverages like Coca-Cola or just Coke, the popcorn they are selling in the shops and in the outlet at the cinema where you have been or where you will go in future. You can also fix you eyes on a TV-screen or a PC-screen, and after seeing some pictures and signs there, you determine yourself to focus on a color, and after the screen is turned off, you get the question of how many areas that was green! This perception is measured by the indicator called for Just Noticeable Difference (JND), meaning what you just perceived during one of more than one second.
Subliminal perception is exciting, and this means that we are buying more candy, more popcorn and more coke in the cinema hall. And nobody could determine what you should focus on when seeing a film, but what you just see in some seconds will imply more buying efforts from you, and you will be more hungry and more thirsty. This is the way the producers of the films, and the producers of the ads everywhere can manipulate your mind. If you are watching some cues around a football for an ad placed along the way where you are driving or where you are a passenger, you could be encouraged to play more football when coming to the destination.
Subliminal percpetion is a concept coming from psychology and cognitive psychology. It means that the stimuli are so weak, or they are shown in so short a time, that they are below the threshold of ordinary conscious perception, but these stimuli still affect us, but we cannot always know the effects of this kind of perception, since much is in accordance with our impulses.
