I quietly shook my head as I read this... sadly, so familiar. Around here, it plays out on the Nextdoor app (I don't think it's in SA yet) where locals flip their lid over everything from dogs pooping to politics... I think of it as people "relating through outrage." And they get outraged if you're not suitably outraged by their outrage...
