Patience: The Name of the Game When You DON'T Already Have Money!

One of the things I have frequently read is that cryptocurrency has the power to "change lives" in ways other legacy investments do not.

I suppose one of the things I have always found appealing about Steemit (and much of the Cryptosphere) is the fact that you can still "afford" to participate, even if you have relatively little money, to begin with.

But one of the truths people often overlook is that even though you definitely can start with almost nothing, investing just a few dollars also means you'll likely have to be very very patient if you're actually willing to wait until it has some value of substance.

That can be tricky for a lot of people, especially in our modern world where many tend to be so impatient all the time, and expect "instant results."

Back when I was at University, the business classes always taught that "it takes money to MAKE money."

Whereas that may not always be true, perhaps it holds more true in the case of saying that it takes money to make significant money.

The rest of us need to just be very very patient and recognize that our efforts are very much like tossing the loose coins from our pocket into a jar on our bedside table, at the end of every day.

I doesn't amount to much in a couple of days, or weeks... or even months. But if we keep doing so for five years — and resist the temptation to take money out of the jar — we might have enough for a nice holiday. Or at least a weekend getaway.

I often consider my efforts here on Steemit — which I enjoy because I really enjoy writing — as an extremely long term project.

Sure, I find myself wishing for "a really good post," but my primary hopes are always for "wanting all of this to still BE here, in 2028 and beyond." Long term goals.

I don't have any money to invest, so I have to count on just letting my rewards slowly build up... a little bit at a time. Eventually, it will add up to something!

So stay patient, folks!
