In July 2017, I visited South Wales, including the Brecon Beacons and Llangorse Lake, the largest natural lake in South and Mid Wales. At the lake, you can find the only crannog in Wales and England. Crannogs are a type of ancient lake dwelling - or artificial island, found throughout Scotland and Ireland. They have existed for about 5,000 years.
This particular one, right at the waters edge at Llangorse Lake, was constructed in the 10th Century and it may have been used as some sort of hall, maybe to greet or entertain guests or for banqueting.
I woke up at the crack of dawn to capture these photos and as you can see, the morning mist was still lingering and the ducks were congregating on the lake. A great image or series of images I took on the day!👍
What do you think? This post is powered up by 100%. Have a good week! 😊
