I took this photo of Portsmouth at night when I was at Fort Widley. Fort Widley is one of the defence systems that was built overlooking Portsmouth to protect it from behind. It was constructed between 1860 and 1868, recommended by the Royal Commission on the Defence of the United Kingdom. There are other forts in the area and on the same hill. It is said that this location is haunted and people spend the night investigating it for paranormal activity/ghosts. That is why I was there! 😊
