Our Adventures Around London on 02.06.2022 💂‍

Hello Steemians! This post is about our adventures in London during the Queen's Jubilee celebration on Thursday. We watched the Jubilee flypast over London, then we visited multiple old and historical sites around the city. Have a look at my post and tell me what you think of it!

So on Thursday it was the Queen's Jubilee celebration so we headed to the centre of the city and watched the Jubilee flypast as it made its way over London and Buckingham Palace. After this we headed to one of the oldest (and smallest ?) pubs in London: The Seven Stars, established in 1602. Then we went to Drury Lane and the Theatre Royal which has been a site for entertainment since 1663 and is the world's oldest theatre site in continuous use.

After this, we ventured to Convent Gardens and to London's oldest restaurant, called Rules, founded in 1798. Then to Trafalgar Square and to Berry Bros & Rudd, the oldest wine and spirit merchant in London which has occupied the same premises since 1698. Just a short distance away is Lock & Co Hatters, London’s oldest shop on its original premises and the world’s oldest hat store, established in 1676.

Nearby is 11 Savile Row, Mayfair, the tailor shop from the Kingsman films and then we came across an interesting, half-timber pub called Coach & Horses, established circa, 1770 and finally ended up at the Guinea Grill, although the building only dates back to 1720, there has been an inn on this site since 1423.
