Helping out a friend

This is my good friend and super talented bassist Tanya O'Callaghan. Shes a full time musician who spends a lot of the time touring the world playing with various bands and recording tons of session work. Shes even played with one of my favourite bands of all time, Puscifer (fronted my Maynard from Tool).

This was taken after she had been on tour in the States for a good few months and was back home in Ireland for a short break. She had recently taken on a whole bunch of new endorsements for music gear and needed promo shots with them. She wanted to get something fun and natural so asked if I would shoot these for her when she was back home. Of course I said yes.

It was for a range of different gear so we did it all in the one shoot. The thing with Tanya is although shes a stunning looking girl shes not very confident posing for photos, and prefers to have instruments/amps in the shots with her so the attention isnt totally on her. We've known each other a long time so she was able to relax and be comfortable with the shoot and I think that really helped the shots have a fun feel too.
