I wonder if you are affected much by such grey weather of UK because for me personally I do not like grey skies as it affects the mood of people in the negative point and that is a given fact because people gets depressed. That is why people tend to sleep more and "settle down" when the weather here in my place is gray and sad.

It's the opposite when the sun is shining brightly regardless of the heat because the people here is known to have a cheery disposition despite of the economic hardships of many people but we are just blessed by relatively better skies as it always bright thanks to being near the equator and although we have hot and dry season to the point that it really gets humid too, I prefer it better than when it is cloudy especially when it is raining, we just all wish for the sun to come back again.

Your lamp is like a work of art because of how it looks, It is great thing to have a useful appliance and at the same time very presentable piece because we get the best of both worlds. I bet that you can change the color temperatures of it if not changing the light intensity for your lighting needs over that area of your house. 😀👍
