Coral Bay is a paradise for sea lovers and is an ideal holiday destination in Western Australia.

Named Coral Bay because of the beautiful coral gardens located just meters from the pristine white sandy beach, this small, peaceful coastal spot is a must-see destination for nature lovers. Coral Bay is all about the water and the coast, and it's hard not to fall in love with the picturesque town.

Coral Bay is about 12 hours' drive north of Perth on the Coral Coast Highway. For those wishing to fly it is a 2 hour Qantas flight from Perth to Learmonth Airport in Exmouth and then a 90 minute drive south to Coral Bay or a 2 hour Regional Express Airlines flight from Perth to Carnarvon and beyond it's a 2.5 hour drive north to Coral Bay

Coral Bay is known for its resident population of manta rays, with around 80 of this megafauna living in Coral Bay's waters, and manta ray swim tours depart from the city daily. Whale shark interaction tours run annually from March to June and humpback whale interaction tours run annually from July to October. Snorkeling and diving tours allow guests to venture deeper into Ningaloo Reef to discover incredible coral gardens, including massive cabbage corals that are home to some 500 species of fish and 300 species of coral, along with turtles and dolphins. Glass-bottom boat tours are a great option for those who want to experience Ningaloo Reef without getting wet.

The area around Coral Bay is a 4WD enthusiast's delight, with an epic coastline and many secluded beaches and mesmerizing snorkelling spots only accessible by 4WD, including Oyster Bridge and Five Fingers Reef. Ningaloo Coastal Reserves and Station Stays are located north and south of Coral Bay, offering 4WDs and campers the opportunity to get off the beaten track and connect with nature in some of Western Australia's most stunning coastal locations. For those seeking a connection to the area's culture and heritage, Aboriginal 4WD tours provide a unique insight into Coral Bay and its surroundings while venturing off the beaten track. Scenic flights showcase the incredible beauty of Coral Bay and the Ningaloo Reef from the air, creating an unforgettable experience.

The Coral Bay Walk is a scenic 2km walk that follows the Ningaloo Reef coastline. Given the reef's close proximity to shore, the walk gives you the unique opportunity to see dolphins, manta rays and a wide variety of fish swimming through the crystal clear waters from a number of vantage points. The walk will take you through Coral Bay's Pioneer and Naturalist Parks, where you can see kangaroos, emus and a host of birds. Be sure to stop along the way to soak up the sun on pristine beaches or settle back on the white sands to watch Western Australia's famous sunset.

@careassaktart There were a few snakes but I don't know if they were poisonous. And there were all kinds of insects. 🪲 🕷️🦂🦗🦟🪳🪰🐛🪱🦠🐾

Looks like paradise indeed but I've been learning about Australia. It is a dangerous place! hehe
