CITYSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST - Verona

Today, Verona is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city of Romeo and Juliet is famous not only as the setting of one of Shakespeare's most famous works, but also as a wine producer. The most popular local wine is the one produced by monks, called Bardolino.

The first impression you make when you enter the center of Verona is the throngs of wandering tourists with cameras in hand, hurriedly looking for the next landmark. Despite the crowds, however, the place doesn't seem busy, and your walk won't lose from that, unless you're hoping for romantic tranquility. You will get romance and pleasure if you go to one of the restaurants around the center or get out of the so-called tourist area. In the center of Verona, you will see many shops, some of which are of world brands, and others are quite affordable for shopping.

All the architecture of the city is authentic and you will not come across a contrasting mix of styles in the buildings, which brings the feeling of wholeness and harmony.

In the center at the corners you can often spot some mime that has really artfully turned into an animal, a mermaid, a jester or some other whimsy.

To enter the busiest commercial part of the city, Mazzini Street. It is narrow, pedestrian and crowded. In every small street where you decide to turn, you will come across calm restaurants that seem to be separated from the noise of the choir.

There is also a market in the square where you can buy Venetian masks, cards, t-shirts, local cheeses, olive oil, guidebooks and even a glass of fresh fruit to refresh you during the walk.

Verona is a place with many architectural and historical sights, to which no one would remain impartial. Whether for the romance, the history or the colorfulness of the city, everyone would find something for themselves.
