The year 2020 has been longed anticipated by so many to be a wonderful year, everybody wanted to see how this year would look like, little do we know that it will be a year of bad memories, a year when the unbelievable things happened.
Apart from being an ugly year in the 21th century, we also had some beautiful moments. We have unforgettable memories to share with everybody.

This week's Contest is just the best. I love to share some of my experiences with the steemit Community. But before I dive into it, let's go through my table of contents.

Now let's dive into it in details.

1. How I started this year.

I started this year with so much joy. We were on holidays, about resuming for a new academy session.
Around February, we resumed school and every other school activities started normally.
I was very happy. I got into a new level in the University. It was a thing of joy.
Studies went well and I had a lot of fun with my course mates.
I started this year very beautifully with zero thoughts and worries in my mind.

2. The Global outbreak(Coronavirus pandemic).

As time passes by, we began to hear new updates, new trends and new thing kept us posted. Who could have ever believed that the whole universe will be shut down?
This wasn't something to joke about.

While in school, we started hearing news about the coronavirus killing people mostly in China. We watched videos and read a lot of papers about it. We thought it was just a minor issue and it would be resolved within the country, little do we know that it was far more than we thought. Few weeks later, Italy and other parts of the world began to suffer the same death cases from the deadly Coronavirus disease.
My country Nigeria wasn't left out. Around match 23rd, a national lockdown was imposed in the country to manage the spread of the disease. The plans was for the lockdown to last for just a month, but everything turned out to be reorganized.
Religious activities was cancelled, sport activities, social gatherings, even market. It wasn't easy honestly speaking.

3. Lock down 2020 and How we survived it.

The Lockdown in Nigeria lasted for 3-4 months with strictly no religious activities. No school activities, everything down. All airports grounded.
During this season, a lot of things happened. People died because of hunger. Other stole food stuffs just to feed, and when caught in the process, they were arrested for stealing.
I thank God we survived it. We never lacked. When you believe in God and what he can do, you will stay protected for the rest of your life.
This year was truly a rough year. We all have stories to tell our unborn generation.

4. How about my schooling?

We have Forgotten about school and trying to move on with life. Can you ever imagine being out of school for ten months? The Nigerian government couldn't pay off some money to the universities board of directors in Nigeria.
Students who attends public universities in Nigeria has been out of school for almost ten months because of an unending strike. What do we do? We can't blame our parents for not putting us in some private universities because they can't afford the school fees.
Can I quote that "our future is being played with?"
Where do we go from here? A lot of questions that needs answers but no one give me the answers. They are really playing with us.

5. Some Beautiful memories.

No matter how this year was rough and tough, there's still a lot of things we all can say, good things I mean to say.
(a). When I started investing in cryptocurrency.
(b). When I got a new phone.
(c). My year of so many great things.
(d). I made more new friends this year, both online and offline.
(e). When I joined steemit.
This are truly some of my beautiful moments in this year. This year hasn't been good at all, but let's just move on with life.

6. How I got to know about steemit.

I joined steemit September, 2020. My friend, @josepha introduced me to this great platform. Joining this platform has been one of my most joyous moments this year. I met different people, I learn different writing skills, I began to see more on how the cryptocurrency world works. It just amazing, so so amazing.

7. Things I learnt this year.

Truly, I have learnt a lot of skills this year, and I have used them all to generate income for myself. Just this year alone, I've learnt how to blog, how to create video ads, how to animate, how to trade on cryptocurrencies, I started investing in cryptocurrency this year, learnt about so many things, using only my smartphone.
Honestly, despite the roughness, this year has truly proven to be my year of greatness. I was able to do a lot of things year.

8. Conclusion.

The truth is that this year has truly been bad, but we still struggle to be among the living today. Let's appreciate that fact and bring more of our memories together and form an album of different memories where we can always come back to see and read some of our old stuffs.
