A deep gorge, chasing cheerful drops of water curls, sounding the forest and the Chiprovci waterfall. Breath of wild mushrooms, song of falling waters, singing birds. Salamanders passing slowly and undisturbed, like stooped old men, as if the broad path were their own. Before long, a roar is heard and you reach the 18-meter high Chiprovci waterfall. The moment is short, the hectic everyday life calls us, but even in it we have managed to take a piece of the charm of the wild Northwest.

Chiprovci waterfall is located in an extremely isolated area in the extreme western parts of Old Mountain. It is located in the middle of a dense forest, close to the border with Serbia. The nearest town, as the name of the waterfall implies, is Chiprovci. However, he himself remains at a considerable distance from this natural beauty. To get to it, you must first travel by car, and then walk for about an hour along a forest eco-path. Only then you will reach the place and you will be able to enjoy the beauty of the waterfall. You will probably also appreciate its beauty much more this way after you have been trying to reach the place for a long time.

Chiprovci waterfall is rather difficult to access. As already mentioned, it falls in a rather isolated area, and to reach it you have to make a lot of effort. This means that even if you manage to get somewhere by car, you'll still end up having to walk through a forested area with only a path anyway. The good thing is that the path is well maintained, as it is an officially described hiking route after all, and its status implies that it should be safe and periodically walked. As much as the trail is designed to relieve and relieve stress, it is still a sport. Keep in mind that depending on your physical fitness, you will have to walk between one and a half and two hours to the place.

The best time for hiking in the Chiprovci falls area is definitely in the spring. If we have to be more precise and specific, it would be best to travel to the place during the last days of April as well as throughout the month of May. During this time of the year, it is at its most full of water, which makes it possible to enjoy a really quite attractive sight. Also, let's not forget that this is the time of the year and the conditions for tourism are most favorable in terms of temperature, humidity, pressure and the like. This is of great importance due to the fact that to get to the place, you will have to make quite a lot of physical effort. Therefore, you should choose a month and season in which the temperatures are not too high, but not too low either. Thus, you will be able to cover the route through the forest more easily and quickly. Of course, it is also important that during this season the nature in the surrounding area is at its most beautiful and last but not least – that the waterfall itself is at its fullest.
Like many other waterfalls, in the spring it is fed by the heavy seasonal rainfall that flows down using its already tested route. Also, the huge amount of water that runs off after the snow melts is added.
In this way, a pronounced spring flood is reached, which ultimately leads to the fact that the waterfall is most attractive precisely during this part of the year.
