Zlatyu Boyadzhiev is a bulgarian artist, painter. He is among the interesting and sought-after artists. His work was divided into two radically different periods due to a stroke and partial paralysis of the right half in (1951). The first period is characterized by stylistic influences, typical of Dutch painting of the XVI-XVII centuries. The second period is distinguished by an expressive manner of painting, combined with fairy-tale, often symbolic images and compositions of rural life. Zlatyu Georgiev Boyadzhiev was born on October 22, 1903 in Brezovo (Plovdiv region). Graduated Painting at the Art Academy - Sofia (1932)

As a result of a stroke, Zlatyu Boyadzhiev became paralyzed and did not paint for a long time. After that, he began to paint radically different works with his left hand. Creates hundreds of compositions, portraits and landscapes with marked expression and drama. Some of his works attract with their entertaining plot, others are filled with strange images, often hiding within themselves a symbolic meaning.

This painting of his is 2x3 meters in size and is not shown and unknown to the public. It is a family heirloom and is called a "wedding". Given its condition, a restoration intervention is necessary in order for it to be included in an exhibition. The picture is not reproduced. It is currently in the initial stages of restoration and is located in a special laboratory at the art museum. It will take about 6-7 months for her recovery, according to initial data. Basic strengthening and treatment with materials is needed.

The works of Zlatyu Boyadzhiev become an obsession for collectors and he is the most frequently counterfeited Bulgarian artist. According to some newspapers, there is a whole factory for his works near Plovdiv. Boyadzhiev's second period is usually imitated because the artistry in the first is beyond the reach of forgers.
