BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART: The Whale
The Whale
This shot I have already published on my blog, if I recall correctly. So this time I'm posting it only cause it's so nice... I remember I gave it a name "The Captain". This one goes out of the challenge, please!
Here are some nice details which caught my eye:
I found these incredible shots laying down on a hard disc on my laptop almost forgotten... It would be a shame if I would have forgotten them! I am really in love with the wooden boats & I'm totally enchanted by them & this one is really a piece of art! I caught it in Volosko, Croatia out on the dry dock waiting to be renovated before being returned in the vast blue sea to float & serve the owner... It is a poetry hand-made in wood for my eyes!
This is my entry to #worldofxpilar challenge... Thanks @axeman for keeping up this great photo-art challenge!

Hi @careassaktart, beautiful photographs and in black and white they have their interesting touch.
I noticed that you previously posted via Steem Travelelrs community and reading the comments seems you do not know what they meant with Steemexclusive.
As you know now we have two identical blockchains Steem and Hive, actually it was a split of Steemit and some witnesses decided to create a clone version and called it Hive. There are many old users there and some users are still posting the same content on both blockchains. It is of course fine, people can do whatever they like with their property. The Steemit team on Steemit has its own curation accounts and supports the posts that are posting on Steem so called #steemexclusive. Such posts we, many community moderators can submit for additional support like @booming account nomination and they received @booming account Upvote.
There are different project that the Steemit Team created to make is attractive for users but also to encourage users to build up their Steem Power. That are clubs: #club5050, that means when you receive your payout in SBD you Power Up at least 50% of it and you are eligible to use the tag, that is reviewed on daily basis and the users may get @steemcurator01 Upvote which is a decent Upvote.
The other clubs #club75 and #club100 mean that users either Power Up their 75% of payout or all the payout. Any type of Power UP is supported by the Steemit team.
Therefore, if you would like to be noticed then you should pay attention to the above mention. If you are not interested and just blogging then it is up to you.
Please let me know if you have any questions :)
Thank you a lot for the explanation!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your effort to curate & your support!
You have an eagle eye for little things. The devil is in the details. :)
I see that you are using manual lens adjustment, what kind of lens is this?
This is some old Nikon Nikkor 35-70 mm portrait lens. I believe it's from the late 80s & early 90s. I like it much more than many of the new Nikon's lenses. It has this "special effect".
It blurs the background very nicely.
I also like the old manual optics. If you get the chance, try the Helios 40-2 lens (85mm focal length). I think you will like it too.
Wait bro! I was wrong! It was not that lens! Here I used Canon 60 mm macro lens mounted on Canon EOS 60D...
But I decided to move to Nikon full frame cameras & maybe if I manage to find some well preserved used Canon full frame camera, I'll buy it too...
This Helios is compatible with Nikon D800 maybe?
I use SONY A7M2 camera.
I can't say anything about Canon and Nikon. Maybe it's a good choice. But as I have seen, the lens and camera matrix are crucial. Everything else is secondary :)
Helios can be combined with any camera. Now there are many different adapters. Helios has an M42 thread. This is a purely manual lens and the simplest and cheapest adapter will do.
OK, thanks for the info! I'm in a bit hard financial situation now so I don't think much about the photo equipment & I'm even trying to sell 2 lenses. But I'm thinking also about investing some money in the equipment as soon as my financial status improves!
I understand. But this is a fairly budget lens. In our market, it costs about $30-35
OK, I'll check it out as soon as I get out of my debts... Thansk!
By the way, I see what @Stef1 wrote to you. She curates photographers and artists on Steam and especially in the WOX community.
She wanted to get you interested in becoming more active on Steam.
I also supervise something here :) There is a program to support beginners. Yes, you are not a beginner, but you are a good photographer. My program has an application to support creative users. For 30 days, a delegation of 250SP is given and support for one post per day from the curators of WOX. There are certain conditions, but they are simple.

Want to try?
WoW! Brother! This is an excellent opportunity! I'll check out this post & get back to you as soon as I read it! Thank you sooo much!!!!! :)
You are welcome 🖐️ 😊
OK, I have just read the post & I really like the opportunity! So, if I want to apply for the support program, I should just write the application in the comment of that post?
