Saludos comunidad Steemit, hace un tiempo (2016) había hecho este retrato, fue mi primer dibujo utilizando las tizas pastel, aunque anteriormente había practicado con materiales similares como el carboncillo, creta y sanguina, sin embargo tampoco llevaba mucho tiempo utilizándolos.
Decidí experimentar con el material dibujando una cara familiar como lo es la de hermanita. A parte de las tizas pastel utilice como materiales complementario carboncillo y sanguina.

Greetings Steemit community, some time (2016) ago I had made this portrait, it was my first drawing using pastel chalks, although previously I had practiced with similar materials such as charcoal, chalk and sanguine, however I had not used them for a long time.
I decided to experiment with the material by drawing a familiar face like that of a little sister. Besides the pastel chalks, use charcoal and sanguine as complementary materials.

El proceso:
La parte dibujistica no me costó mucho, ya estoy bastante acostumbrado a realizar retratos, lo que si se me dificulto fue generar los colores piel, eso se era nuevo para mí realizarlo con tizas pastel.
Cabe destacar que me centre especialmente en el área del rostro y el cabello, en la fotografía no se ve con mucha claridad, pero fue tanto lo que repase con las tizas que sature el papel hasta desprender la parte más superficial del material.
The process:
The drawing part did not cost me much, I am already quite used to taking portraits, what if it was difficult for me was to generate the skin colors, that was new for me to do it with pastel chalk.
It should be noted that I focused especially on the area of the face and hair, in the photograph it is not very clear, but it was so much what I went over with the chalk that it saturated the paper until the most superficial part of the material was detached.
Por otro lado, la ropa y el fondo no las considere realmente importante, por esa razón no las definí ni los detalle tanto, si pueden notar que el fondo se ve abstracto a pesar de estar inspirado en un arbolito de navidad.
On the other hand, the clothes and the background do not consider them really important, for that reason I did not define them or detail them so much, if you can notice that the background looks abstract despite being inspired by a Christmas tree.

De manera general, me gusto el resultado del dibujo a pesar que me frustre en gran medida durante el proceso y posteriormente me enamore de la técnica, por lo que hice un gran número de dibujo usando esos materiales, si revisan mi blog verán algunos dibujos que ya he subido haciendo uso de las tizas pastel.
