Suddenly
It gives us light when we are blind.
It gives us darkness when we open our eyes.
It teaches us in strange ways.
As if we were metal, it puts us in the fire and tempers us,
it hits us and makes us strong.
and it gives us what we never expect, to make us whole.
It never tires of rolling the dice of our dreams
to shuffle our illusions,
to play roulette with our hopes.
it always manages,
so that even when it makes us lose the most,
when it makes us stay with our souls in debt,
makes us thank forever.
I'm surprised to see that I wrote this 12 years ago, and the feeling remains the same. I suppose that some emotions are etched in our soul and stay there forever.
