ARTWORK TUTORIAL #1: My Love for Flowers -Golden Shrimp Plant | WATER COLOR PAINTING STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS

Greetings WORLD OF XPILAR!

It's a pleasure to share my first ever artwork post in Steemit. I choose this community because I got inspired by the artists here. With their drawings and paintings, it pushed me to paint once again.

Today, I will show you my Artwork #1 with step-by-step process!

In this painting tutorial, my subject will be Pachystachys Lutea or also known as Golden Shrimp Plant cause of its shrimp-liked-figure with scales. This plant is one of my favorites in our garden as my mom loves to collect plants and any kinds of flowers because it makes her happy and stress free so do I!

STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS
1.) First, create little yellow soft strokes of water color using paint brush.

Here's a closer shot.

2.) Continue in making strokes until flower formed.

3.) Continue using the same technique.

4.) Next, paint an outline using green-colored water color for leaves.

5.) Fill inside with light green water color. For this part, you need an eye to balance colors (light vs.dark).

6.) Then, create lines to complete the look of the leaves.

7.) When done, it's time to paint the space left around the subject with mixed color of dark and light green.

This is the fun part! Use the same technique in painting flowers (step 1).

8.) To add life to the subject, use black marker.

I'm using 0.8 ordinary marker.

9.) Continue drawing outlines to complete the artwork.

10.) Lastly, don't forget your signature!
