Esta vez quise usar como referencia una foto de mi persona, sosteniendo una copa de vidrio con agua, desde tempranas horas del día fui ordenando las ideas para este trabajo, aproveche la luz del día para tener esa imagen clara que podemos obtener con la iluminación natural.

To make this art in light dark, use as a reference a photograph where I am holding a glass with my right hand, transform the color photograph to black and white, in this way I work in the Monochromatic technique, with this process I have a more defined perception of the work to be done.

Para realizar este arte en claro oscuro, utilice como referencia una fotografía en donde salgo sosteniendo una copa con la mano derecha, transforme la fotografía en color a blanco y negro, de esta manera trabajo en la técnica monocromática, con este proceso tengo una percepción mas definida al trabajo a realizar.

Step 2

I make the sketch in HB 2 graphite pencil, this tone is clear and perfect to later easily erase, the initial sketch must have the appropriate measurements, to have a symmetry adjusted to the reference photo With a study of the shadows and lights that are going to make up this drawing, we have important details, which will be very useful later on.

Realizo el boceto en lápiz de grafito HB 2, este tono es claro y perfecto para luego borrarlo fácilmente, el boceto inicial debe tener las medidas adecuadas, para tener una simetría ajustada a la foto de referencia, con un estudio de las sombras y luces que van a componer este dibujo, tenemos detalles importantes, que mas adelante serán de suma utilidad.

When making the sketch it is important to capture the details, there are lines of graphite that are erased, in this way I proceed until I have a clearer pattern of the face, I work with the black pen to accentuate the dark leftovers.

Al realizar el boceto es importante ir captando los detalles, quedan lineas de grafito que son borradas, de esta forma procedo hasta tener un patrón mas claro del rostro, trabajo con el bolígrafo negro para acentuar las sobras oscuras.

Mainly I focus on the area of dark shadows, with a strong shading with the black pen and using the graphite pencil to give the lighter tones, I am leaving blank spaces, it is here where I will highlight the reflections of lights that are projected on the face, in this way the volume is taking shape.

Principalmente me enfoco en la zona de sombras oscuras, con un sombreado fuerte con el bolígrafo negro y usando el lápiz de grafito para ir dando los tonos mas claros, voy dejando espacios en blanco, es aquí en donde resaltare los reflejos de luces que se proyectan en el rostro, de esta manera el volumen va tomando forma.

In this step I work the right hand that is holding the glass, here I have to take into account the details of the shadows and lights, they are obtaining a more defined shading, this being closer to the visual focus, we can see that the volume and depth leave the perspective effect visible, this makes it easier for me to have a more complete vision, I am giving the first layers to the surrounding area.

En este paso trabajo la mano derecha que esta sosteniendo la copa de vidrio, aquí tengo que tener en cuenta los detalles de las sombras y luces, estas van obteniendo un sombreado mas definido, esto por estar mas cerca del foco visual, podemos ver que el volumen y profundidad dejan el efecto de perspectiva a la vista, esto me facilita tener una visión mas completa, voy dando las primeras capas a la zona del entorno.
