"The Merchant " - Galle Fort
Dear Friends ,
Last night was very special for me as I was able to meet my boarding buddies exactly after two years. We were busy with our projects and some were not in the island in last few years. So we decided to get together had have a dinner as we were before. Galle fort is the ideal location for a meetup and to have a little chat mixing with the sea breeze. Everyone was there on time except @pushpika. Anyway he joined few minutes later. Yesterday we decided taste a new place from fort. We have tried lot of places in Galle fort but there are lot more to try. We selected the hotel called "The Merchant " for our dinner. Was a lovely place with a vintage look and very friendly staff. I captured some photographs to share with you guys.
The arrangement of the restaurant was very eye catching. The kitchen is located at the center and cooking activities are visible and clean. There were lot of wooden arts and paintings which took my eye.
This was one of the wooden carving. I took a photo to share with you. Its matching with the theme 100% and there were lot of these located around the restaurant.
Frist we enjoyed a Cappuccino before the dinner as @pushpika was late. So we had to wait for him. It was really good. I love the taste.
Meeting them was a lovely experience. There were lot of old memories to talk. We waited around 3-4 hours there talking and talking. We were the last customers to leave .. lol. Anyway it was a nice place. Food was really good. Don't forget to check this place in your vacation to sri lanka.
