Rome - The Enchanting Capital of Endless Wonder - Italy | WOX Travel Contest | Week 16

Greetings the fellow people of Steemit i hope all of you had a fantastic day.

So here we are keeping up with Rome, this time i decided to change the title a little, bit because i'm gonna bring a little bit of the same like the last week's post, but with a little more excitement.

We are gonna keep seeing some monuments, which got my eye, because i think this is a content everybody should see and maybe decided to go on a trip and see it in real life. As you see on the first picture i don't remember much but this is the Arch og Constantine, this beautifull arch is a triumphal arch in Rome dedicated to the Emperor Constantine, it is so important, because this is the first emperor to convert to christianity. Yeah i can bring some history to make the post more interesting, but i will try not to bore you too much hehe.

The next stop is the so called Piazza del Popolo, which basically translates to people's square, which is a place with magnificient architecture constiting of fountains and churches. The first picture you are going to see here is a fountain called Fontana dei Leoni - the fountain of the Lion, then you are going to see a church and the inside of it. I wanna note i'm not sure if this is a church or a chapel, i am a religious person, but in Rome i can't make any difference between a church and a chapel, because everything as much as beutifull it is it kinda looked the same to me.

Next stop is the so called Pantheon, which i have some good news, the bad news is that i don't have photos or i couldn't find them on my phone, cuz i remember having photos of the inside of it, maybe i have sent the photos through snapchat and i didn't save i don't know, but i'm kinda pissed, anyway the good news is that i have the Pantheon with and without a fountain hehe. I want to also note that some of the pictures may have filters, because i have taken the photos from my instagram arhive. So for those of you who don't know what the Pantheon is it is basically a a former Roman temple and a Catholic church which as far as i remember is described as the "sphinx of the Campus Martius".

Next stop is the so called spanish steps, these steps are considered to be in the centre of the heart of Rome and the total number of steps is 135. I heard this place is special, because the idea behind it is for people of many nationalities, poor and rich to meet, basically a meet up place, i have walked through it a couple of times during this vacation and this place is always occupied, which i guess keeps the idea alive.

So last stop and not to bore you to death i'm showing you the Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II located on Piazza Venezia, which is built in honor of Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of United Italy. On the second picture you are going to see the Basilica of St. Petri, which unfortunately i couldn't get in, because there was some event there.

Okay i think this is enough of the landmarks, churches, chaples and fountains during my holiday here, it's time to express more of a tourist things like food and nightlife as i promised to tell in the last week's post. So first things first, the food is just as excellent as it is in all the places i've been in Italy - excellente. I don't know if it's just me, but i try not to order dough food, because it's not very healthy, because after that i know i have to do some cardio, but when i go to Italy i say to myself, well it's Italy i'm on vacation so why not, so yeah pasta is the way to the italian belly hehe.

About nightlife, well i have to say that the nightlife in Rome compared to the nigtlife in Milan is kinda the same, but with way different vibes, i mean most of the restaurants, cafes and clubs bring this italian vibe, but there is so much more green around it, more nature if i can express it that way. It's just that there is mch more greenery, plants and bushes in these places, which i find a good thing, it reminds me very much of Napoli - lots of greenery. I don't know but some parts of Italy i am staring to think that Italians have this weird nature fetish with putting lime trees all over the place, which works, it makes the atmosphere more pleasant which also reminds me so much of Napoli.

Anyway this is the end of the post, this is the end of our journey of Rome split in two parts, i hope you now understand why i had to split this story and experience, because there was so much photos on places i went. Next time i don't know where our next destination may be, i have to search more from my archives, but right now i am on let's say vacation in a place where i bet the WOX commuity haven't seen especially in this contest, I won't spoil the surprise, i don't know when i'm gonna go back from this trip so i can post more of my experiences around the world, have to dig some vacation material from my photo library or my instagram archive, so for those wondering where the next location may be, i have in mind something modern, maybe London?
