The World of XPILAR - LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #196 - Homeland of Thumbelina

According to Hans Christian Andersen, inchlets are born in the buds of water lilies, like the ones you see in the photo I took on the banks of a quiet river backwater.

I don’t know perhaps in the homeland of the writer-storyteller such places not only look nice but also smell good but in this case I think that a blind mole who had a fair sense of smell would hardly have taken an inch as his wife which was born in a fetid place during an algae bloom in the river waters.

No amount of perfume or deodorant could help Thumbelina get rid of this smell of hydrogen sulfide which only the flowering water lilies in the middle of the river backwater did not notice.

I think that the plot of a fairy tale should be tied to the geographical location of those who read it and to a certain time of year and even better change the name of the flower in the fairy tale for example let the Thumbelina be born in a peony or in a rose lol.
