Today, crawling through the archive, I came across a series of summer photos from New Athos and realized that a lot of things have not been published yet. The first folder I opened turned out to be dedicated to the train station of this place. It's hard to call it a train station. There is not a single employee here (in any case, I have not met any during the whole time and no one has announced the arrival of trains). But once it was a very beautiful train station.

Hence the idea of processing this photo was born, which I am sending to the black and white contest фотографии from @axeman.

Of course, it was possible to find a ready preset in the processing program, but I like to achieve some results manually. This is similar to wood processing (wood carving), which I used to actively do. My goal was to get a photo resembling an old film photo faded from time... like the former train station itself.

Сегодня ползая по архиву я наткнулся на серию летних фотографий из Нового Афона и понял, что ещё много чего не опубликовано. Первая папка, которую я открыл, оказалась посвящённой вокзалу этого места. Трудно назвать это вокзалом. Здесь нет ни одного работника (во всяком случае за всё время я не встретил ни одного и прибытие поездов никто не объявлял). Но когда-то это был очень красивый вокзал.

Отсюда родилась идея обработки этой фотографии, которую я направляю на конкурс чёрно белой фотографии от @axeman.

Конечно, можно было найти готовый пресет в программе обработки, но мне нравится добиваться каких-то результатов вручную. Это похоже на обработку дерева (резьба по дереву) которой я раньше активно занимался. Моей целью было получить фото, напоминающее старую плёночную фотографию выцветшую от времени... как и сам бывший вокзал.

In a sense, this place can be considered a godsend for the photographer... but it's a shame for the people who are waiting for the arrival of the train here. And I don't understand the intentions of the local authorities... I don't understand.

В некотором смысле это место можно считать находкой для фотографа... но обидно за людей, которые ожидают здесь прибытия поезда. И я не понимаю намерения местных властей... не понимаю.
