Photos of one day

On this day we had to visit the city of Tver. This is a very ancient city. He can argue with Moscow. But that's not what we're talking about right now. Two photos of this post will take part in contests from @axeman. It will be a city landscape and a black-and-white (monochrome) photo.

But let's start in order. We were in town on business. When the business was over, we decided to admire the city center. Especially since it was nearby. By the standards of megacities, the city is very small.

We just had to move to the other side of the Volga. Three bridges have been laid across the Volga. One of them is railway and two are automobile. We drove over the oldest bridge. Not so long ago it was repaired, but it has retained riveted metal structures. In combination with the weather... and at this time it was raining... the view was almost epic.

The main street of the city (Sovetskaya) with a monument to the leader of the world proletariat (Lenin, of course, you recognized) looked no less epic. But to walk around the city in this weather... we didn't last long and went to a Georgian restaurant. Of course, it was dry, warm and cozy here. And most importantly - satisfying.

The last photo refers to our return home. Fortunately, we didn't meet any ghosts.

В этот день нам пришлось посетить город Тверь. Это очень старинный город. Он может поспорить с Москвой. Но речь сейчас не об этом. Две фотографии этого поста примут участие в конкурсах от @axeman. Это будет городской пейзаж и чёрно-белая (монохромная) фотография.

Но начнём по порядку. В городе мы были по делам. Когда дела закончились, мы решили полюбоваться центром города. Тем более, что это было рядом. По меркам мегаполисов город совсем маленький.

Нам нужно было просто переехать на другую сторону Волги. Через Волгу проложено три моста. Один из них железнодорожный и два автомобильных. Мы поехали по самому старому мосту. Не так давно его отремонтировали, но он сохранил клёпанные металлические конструкции. В сочетании с погодой... а в это время шёл дождь... вид был почти эпическим.

Главная улица города (Советская) с памятником вождю мирового пролетариата (Ленина вы, конечно, узнали) выглядела не менее эпично. Но гулять по городу в такую погоду... долго мы не продержались и зашли в грузинский ресторан. Конечно, здесь было сухо, тепло и уютно. А главное - сытно.

Последнее фото относится к нашему возвращению домой. К счастью, привидений мы не встретили.
