Do not be surprised, today we in Russia celebrate the New Year according to the old calendar. The calendar has been moved two weeks. I don’t know which New Year is more correct, but why deny yourself another fun holiday.
The main New Year tree of St. Petersburg is still standing, the lights are on, although Palace Square does not look very crowded at night. There may be many more out there right now, but I'm sitting at home typing this post.
My congratulations to everyone and the wish of a peaceful sky above your head and especially for politicians, a cold and clear head when making important decisions.

Не удивляйтесь, сегодня мы в России празднуем Новый Год по старому календарю. Летоисчисление сдвинуто на две недели. Я не знаю, какой Новый Год более правильный, но зачем отказывать себе в ещё одном весёлом празднике.
Главная новогодняя ёлка Санкт-Петербурга ещё стоит, огни горят, хотя Дворцовая площадь ночью выглядит не очень заполненной людьми. Возможно прямо сейчас их там гораздо больше, но я сижу дома и печатаю этот пост.
Мои поздравления всем и пожелание мирного неба над головой и специально для политиков, холодной и чистой головы при принятии важных решений.

Why not a second vacation and a second new year friend. Very good published photos. And as for the wishes and good decisions of politicians that are the best for the well-being of its citizens.

After all, politicians write history ... and then rewrite it again to hide shameful places.

Я не знаю, зачем менять летоисчисление. Хотя нет, я знаю, так запутывается и искажается история.
Ведь историю пишут политики...а потом переписывают заново, чтобы скрыть позорные места.
Вот я и пожелал для них...не надо переписывать, надо создавать так, чтобы не было причин что-то скрывать в будущем. Для этого нужны холодные головы и чистые руки...но это уже не про политиков... ))

На самом деле такой город мне нравится больше, спокойный, без суеты и шума))
