WOX TRAVEL CONTEST | WEEK 2
Hello all,
I hope that all of you are doing great and enjoying your weekend.
So, this is my entry to the contest, WOX TRAVEL CONTEST | WEEK 2, organized by @benoitblanc.
Here, I'm sharing our travel experience from a few days ago. We visited our colleague Chanaka ayya's home a few days ago. His home is situated in Mathugama, Sri Lanka. My wife, Vimukthi ayya, his wife, and his kid joined this trip. We departed at 7.00 am from Balangoda town. We had our breakfast on the way.
We could reach our destination at 11.00 am. After relaxing at Chanaka ayya's home, we went to Pilithudu Ella, a famous river in the area.
We spent around two hours in the river, which was a blessing for the hot weather these days.
Then we went to Chanaka ayya's home again to have lunch. Then we visited 'Pahiyangala,' which is a famous pre-historic cave. It is also a famous temple. The cave was situated on a mountain, and it took some effort to reach the top. Even though the climb was challenging, the view at the top of the mountain was worth it. It is believed that pre-historic humans lived in that cave. A Buddhist temple is also built near the cave.
Our last destination was Makeli Ella. It is a stunning waterfall. Due to this dry weather, there was little water in the waterfall.
So, it was a marvelous and unforgettable day.

I love your photos what a great place to visit with the family. It has been years since I swam in a river and saw a waterfall. There's still enough water to.showbit's beauty. Is it possible to get near to it?

Unfortunately, it is dangerous to get close to the waterfall since there is a possibility to get drowned.
That's such a pity but goid to know and it's better to be safe than sorrow
