Overcrowding of Airport Lounges

Have You Recently Been to an Airport Lounge??

If yes then you know that right now there is no shortage of people in Airport Lounges as it has been quite popular thanks to the countless number of Instagram Reels that talk bout the benefits of Airport Lounges and how we can claim them.

In the past even though there were offers on several Credit and Debit Cards people hardly knew about those offers but now thanks to Social Media almost the majority of the population that travels via flights knows about the awesome feature called AIRPORT LOUNGES. Airport Lounges when they were beginning were meant exclusively for some people who were in the Top 1 percent and for them to garner more out of their Flight Journey but since the inclusion of Credit Cards among the people things have turned out to be quite different.

Since Most Credit Cards now give out Free Airport Lounge Access with almost most of their Credi Cards it has led to people just overcrowding the hell out of these Airport Lounges I feel like there are 3 reasons for the Overcrowding of Airport Lounges and they are following

Increase in Passengers in Airports

It is no secret that the number of people traveling through flights has significantly increased in the last couple of years and even more after the COVID fiasco as people all around the world are busy traveling via flights and enjoying the Airport Lounge facilities as well.

The Free Food and Amenities

Airport Lounges come with their perks and benefits and one of the most common features they have is to have a Free Buffet Spread across all Airport Lounges believe me nothing works more than a Free Buffet and people flock towards them like fliers. Yes, I agree that there are even more Facilities like seating areas, spas, sleeping pods, and many more but it would not be true to say that FREE FOOD is the key point of attraction.

Limited Capacity

Now the key factor obviously is the fact that there are literally a shortage of capacity of Airport Lounges in accordance to the people that are visiting the lounges so overcrowding is definitely something that should be worried for.

So yeah Indian Airport Lounges are definitely overcrowded and the only thing that can save us from the Overcrowding is to stop offering Free Airport Lounge access with all Credit Cards and just offer it with Premium Credit Cards as that way things might slow down a little in the Airport Lounges.
