One Piece finally broke the curse

When it comes to live action Anime their seems to be a curse were the Live Action Anime never does well as compared to its Anime version. It can also be said that the bigger the Anime is the harder the Live Action Falls. But this year we finally saw the One Piece live action Anime and I can say this with certainty that the Curse has finally been broken.

I'll start by saying that the One Piece Live Anime is not for the Anime watches but it is a great intro for those people who want to know about One Piece but don't have the time to go through 1000 episodes. There has been a lot of changes in the Live Action Anime in comparison to the actual Anime but most of the changes I am okay with and I kind of understand the changes have been made so that the story is easier to understand for the new comers who are watching One Piece for the first time. But at the same time by making the Arc shorter it loses the depth of the Anime. One piece is known for it's story building, world building and character development and all those three things are kind of hard to do when you only have a eight episode season compared to a 100 episode Arc.

There are couple of things that I really like in the One Piece live action Anime and the first of those was the cast. The main cast of One Piece I feel like was perfectly fit especially Zorro. The original popularity of the Anime is so big that they hardly required any high paid actors to fit the role, so they picked the proper person for each character and that worked like a charm, and even though I am kind of skeptical about Sanji I like the overall cast in its entirety.
The next thing that I like was the fact that almost all the stunts were performed by the actors themselves which meant they saved a lot on stunt doubles and that ultimately showcased in the actual CGI which was very well done. Since the Anime has a lot of supernatural abilities CGI definitely had to be top notch quality so as to match the actual Anime and that was accurately done because they had ample budget for the CGI. Even the sets and the prosthetics that were made definitely looked pretty decent as even a frame of all of the above looked fake then the Audience would definitely notice it and eat Netflix alive for that.

WHO SHOULD WATCH THIS LIVE ACTION ANIME?

This live action Anime serves as a perfect Bridge for those people who really wanted to watch One Piece but hated the 1000 episode line up. So by watching this 8 episode live action Anime they can take a quick peek into the world of One Piece without really going through a lot of episode. But keep in mind that for making this 8 episode series they had to cut a lot of stuff from the actual Anime and even though the parts may not matter a lot for the new guys we really appreciated the Anime in its entirety. The live-action Anime is available on Netflix and each episode is around an hour long so you can complete the entire series in a Sunday so please go and have a watch of the One Piece Live Action Anime.
